IEEE SIGHT Session at the IEEE 2020 Latin American Electron Devices Conference (LAEDC)

Around twenty-five IEEE SIGHT members from Region 9 attended the first Snap Circuit Session training during the IEEE Latin America Electron Device Conference (LAEDC), held from 24-28 February 2020 in San Jose, Costa Rica. “Snap Circuit” is a program of the Engineer Teacher Connection (ETC) of the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS). It enables chapter members to visit local schools or host events designed to engage young students in the field of electrical engineering and STEM fields.

During the conference, a training workshop on SIGHT was delivered by Dr. Pritpal Singh (SIGHT Assessment Subcommittee Chair) and Dr. Fernando Guarin (SIGHT Education Subcommittee Chair). LAEDC was a co-located event with IEEE Latin American Symposium on Circuit and Systems (LASCAS), and had more than 200 international attendees.
