Chair Daniel Lottis’ trip to Kanyakumari

Earlier this month, I had the chance to visit India. I had the most wonderful time in Kanyakumari, India, visiting colleges and meeting and engaging with engineering students who now have the option of getting directly involved with IEEE and SIGHT through Student branches. It was great to see so many eager young minds interested in engineering in the humanitarian space.

IEEE has a truly remarkable cluster of SIGHT groups in India with a vast pool of volunteers willing to step up whenever an urgent need arises. It was a great experience for me and I know many of these students will contribute great work to the world of technology in their near future.
