2025 SIGHT Group Activity Initiative
On behalf of the IEEE SIGHT Committee, we are very pleased to announce that the 2025 SIGHT Group Activity Initiative Application is now open!
IEEE SIGHT is again offering funding of up to US$200 to established and active Groups to support their humanitarian technology activities in 2025.
SIGHT groups must have been established for at least one calendar year (12 months) and be be actively reporting events & officers in vTools in alignment with the SIGHT Group Operations Handbook.
SIGHT Groups may submit just one application per calendar year.
Any Group that received activity funding in 2024 must turn in their report prior to submitting a 2025 application.
- $100 will be awarded to SIGHT Groups who have reported (using IEEE vTools) at least two activities over the course of the last 12 months.
- $100 will be awarded to SIGHT Groups who have reported (using IEEE vTools) their officers and six members (at least six members of the Group should be active IEEE members).
Possible uses of the funding could include events, training and professional development, communications and marketing materials, project preparation and more.
