A Year in Review: Higher National Engineering School of Tunis SB SIGHT
Empowering Change Through “Ideate for Humanity”
The Higher National Engineering School of Tunis Student Branch SIGHT Group from Tunisia hosted an impactful event “Ideate for Humanity” on 11 December, 2024. This dynamic workshop brought together its dedicated members, who were eager to contribute to innovative solutions for global challenges through the lens of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The day began with an insightful presentation by Ms. Nour Sbaoulji, a corresponding member of the Region 8 HTAC. Ms. Sbaoulji delivered a detailed overview of the SDGs framework, emphasizing the power of community-driven projects to foster sustainable impact. Her insights set an inspiring tone for the workshop.
Participants then engaged in a focused ideathon, tackling the question: “How can we facilitate the integration of non-speaking individuals into society through initiatives aligned with the SDGs of Quality Education (SDG 4) and Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3)?” This segment encouraged SIGHT members to brainstorm and develop innovative strategies to address the needs of non-speaking individuals. Ms. Sbaoulji also served as a judge, assessing the ideas based on feasibility, creativity, and potential impact. The workshop concluded with a meaningful exchange of ideas, showcasing the dedication of the SIGHT members to create positive change.
Through endeavors like “Ideate for Humanity,” the IEEE ENSIT SIGHT Group continues to inspire and empower individuals to drive meaningful change within their communities and beyond.
