The Region 10 Humanitarian Technology Activity Award recognizes both outstanding sections and outstanding individuals for the work they have contributed towards humanitarian technology. The recipients this year are IEEE Karachi Section and Shaikh Anowarul Fattah. We would like to thank Mr. Fattah and the IEEE Karachi Section for inspiring us all to make a lasting impact on humanitarian technology.

IEEE R10 Outstanding Section Award for HTA

This award is to recognize the Sections who have done outstanding work in identifying social issues and made efforts to solve those issues through the use of technology or any other means. The objective of
instituting this award is to motivate Sections to promote humanitarian technologies and to help the
Organizational Units (OUs) to plan and implement technologies that might uplift the society.

IEEE R10 Outstanding Individual Award for HTA

IEEE R10 has established an Outstanding Individual Award for humanitarian technology activities to
inspire IEEE volunteers to become socially responsible and engaged in developing cost effective and
sustainable technological solutions to improve living conditions and livelihood of people. This purpose of
the award is to recognize professional members of IEEE who have made an outstanding contribution to
the society through their dedicated work in supporting the livelihood of the people through humanitarian
technologies.

leadership and contributions to innovative Humanitarian technology of Bangladesh Section.
